"Apple list" is Apple's current price for that class, not its launch price, so "implied decline" is a single-point fit against that anchor rather than a depreciation curve since release. Treat it as a comparison between generations, not a forecast.
Resale valuation methodology
MacProbe calculates resale value based on active listing volume and confirmed 30-day sold pricing. For private party transactions, pricing typically rests near the Fair Value (P50) band. Quick-sell listing prices generally align with the Great Deal (P25) threshold.
For a seller, that means the useful number is not a single "worth" figure but the band: list near P50 and expect to negotiate toward P25 if you need it gone quickly.
